CLIMATE CHANGE BILL TO BE DEBATED ON HOUSE FLOOR THIS WEEK: CALL CONGRESS TODAY AND URGE THEM TO OPPOSE H.R. 2454!

H.R. 2454 - "The American Clean Energy and Security Act”, cosponsored by House Energy and Commerce Chairman Henry Waxman and Energy Subcommittee Chair Ed Markey, is scheduled to be debated on the House Floor this week.

Climate change is a priority for the Obama Administration and the Democrats on Capitol Hill. In fact, Rep. Waxman has revised the bill at least three times to make sure he has enough votes to pass it. The path in the U.S. Senate is still murky. To date, they are moving an energy bill that does not include carbon controls.

Please use the contact information detailed below to immediately contact the U.S. Reps which represent your home, your headquarters and all of your locations and urge them to vote against H.R. 2454 for two (2) main reasons:

1. That any effort to curb carbon emissions – including H.R. 2454 - will undoubtedly increase petroleum prices and thus the price consumers pay at the fuel pump.

2. That without substantial international cooperation, H.R. 2454 will reduce the ability of the U.S. to compete globally which translates into lost jobs and further economic decline. Why should the U.S. be forced to play by more costly and restrictive rules than China, Russia, Brazil & India?
